Care To Listen is a competitively priced counselling service located in Croydon and also serve local areas such as Sutton and Purley. Established in 2007 we are a team of highly experienced counsellors that provide private and confidential counselling to all of our clients. We treat everyone with the utmost respect and every client is able to explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of being judged. We pride ourselves on delivering a quality service that is accessible and affordable to all.

We specialise in integrative counselling which includes cognitive behavioural therapy, short-term solution focused, psychodynamic and person-centred counselling. By looking at the ways people think, behave and feel we can determine what aspects of a person’s life can be changed to solve particular problems.

We have been commissioned by SLaM– South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. to provide counselling as part of Croydon’s IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies service).

We also offer telephone counselling. Face to face counselling is the most recognised form of therapy, but there are a number of factors that could mean that telephone counselling could work better for you.

Telephone counselling offers the same level of support and confidentiality as face to face sessions.

Care To Listen recognise that some clients aren’t able to travel to sessions for a variety of reasons. We are happy to discuss the possibility of telephone counselling if you consider it would be the best service for you.

The Croydon Association for Pastoral Care in Mental Health

Our emphasis is on concern for each other first and foremost as individuals, not our mental health status.

We are working together with others towards a better understanding of mental health, illness and distress. We seek to remove the barriers to acceptance and inclusion which are so often a part of our society.
